Hot Air Balloon Tours of the Maine Coast

Hot air balloon rides in Portland, Maine are a great way to get a true orientation of the region. The flight is usually high enough to see the Casco Bay region, the Lake Region, and even New Hampshire's Mt. Washington. The flight ends with a champagne celebration. A good choice is the run from Portland to Rangeley Lake, where you can catch fantastic views of mountain ranges and sparkling lakes that provide a perfect backdrop for the spectacular spray of autumn colors.

Lobster Boat Adventure

Here's an opportunity to see how lobster fishing is done. This short half hour jaunt allows visitors to tag along as a real 30-foot lobster boat makes the rounds, pulling traps from the water in beautiful Penobscot Bay. You can even arrange to have a lobster dinner aboard the boat. Talk about fresh!

Kennebunkport Walking Tour

This tour starts at the Nott House. Participants will learn about Kennebunkport by taking a guided walking tour of the town. The walk takes approximately one hour, as visitors see great examples of Kennebunkport's historic architecture. Tours are given in July and August, from Thursdays-Saturdays at 11am, and from September-mid-October on Saturdays at 11am or by appointment with the Kennebunkport Historical Society.

Sea Kayaking Tours along the Maine Coast

Sea kayaking allows participants to explore the beautiful bays, lakes, islands, and natural landscapes that comprise the Maine Coast.
Tours last anywhere from 2-4 hours and can also be arranged for a full-day or multi-day adventure for individuals, families, or groups of all ages and skill levels. Pricing starts at just $45 and can go as high as several thousand dollars for a full-scale tour.
