The Maine Coast is a great place to take a vacation with kids. The experience will give them a newfound appreciation for nature and will teach them that it can be fun as well as educational. In addition, there are some great vacation ideas designed with families in mind, such as Palace Playland at Orchard Beach. This is a beachside amusement park with rides, arcades, and more. There's also Funtown Splashtown USA in Saco, a full-scale amusement park. Another option is York's Wild Kingdom, with exotic animals from around the world on display. The park offers family rides, paddle boats, 18 holes of miniature golf, a petting zoo, picnic grounds, and a haunted house. Education runs throughout the day, and there is also a new Butterfly Kingdom.
