The charming and exquisite Tee Ridder Miniatures Museum, housed in a separate building on the grounds of the Nassau County Museum of Art, is a monument to the eclectic talent of Tee Ridder, a miniaturist who left her impressive collection of works to the museum. The Tee Ridder Miniatures Museum houses a permanent collection of 26 miniature rooms, a neo-classical style dollhouse and many works by miniaturist artists from around the world. The Nassau County Museum of Art is surrounded by 145 acres of magnificent gardens containing a unique monumental outdoor sculptural park, a collection of flora (rare on Long Island), historic architecture, and fine art exhibitions.
