Our Museum Expert Says:

Step inside a giant bubble, create animation and broadcast the news! The Long Island Children's Museum is a center of dreams and recreation for the entire family - filled with learning disguised by fun.

The museum boasts exhibits such as Bricks and Sticks - an architectural simulation workshop using building materials, and Pattern Studio - a workshop exploring the inter-relationships between music, math, art and nature, where kids can decorate dollhouses and construct kaleidoscopes. The on-site Mitchell Center features a state-of-the-art, 150-seat theater with live performances and hands-on educational programs. For a bite to eat, check out the Cafeteria where loads of kid-friendly meals are served and kids can celebrate a special museum birthday.

To get here, take the N16 bus (from Hempstead LIRR or Roosevelt Field) towards Nassau Community College to the Student Union Building. At the Student Union, walk west on Davis Avenue for two blocks to the museum (the last building on the left).
