Things to do / Travel Guide

Address:East Hampton, New York

Our Beach Bum Says:

Escape to the beautiful and fun-filled Main Beach, one of five fantastic beaches in the Village of East Hampton.

In the safe, lifeguarded areas, beach-goers take to the water like ducks. While no fishing or surfing is allowed in the swimming designated areas, you'll find swimmers of all ages frolicking and swimming to their hearts' content. The wide, sandy beaches are clean and will always be dotted with sunbathers, children building sandcastles, and beachcombers looking for shells and other goodies. There are other areas where fishing, surfing, and kayaking are allowed.

Don't miss the spectacular fireworks show that takes place every year on Labor Day weekend – come early to get a parking spot! NOTE: There are designated bird nesting spots in the vegetation and dunes around the beach. Please take care not to get too close to these protected areas.

Perhaps the best part of all, is that when you're done chilling on the beach, you've got the Village of East Hampton at your fingertips. There you'll find interesting historic landmarks, great dining options, nightlife, and nice places to stay for the night.

East Hampton's Main Beach is located at the tip of Long Island in New York City. Maximize your fun and adventure by taking a ferry over to the Hamptons! Have a great time living it up at New York's exclusive beach!
