Found in an unlikely desert location, the Pahrump Valley Vineyards, Nevada's only winery, has produced award-winning Cabernet, Burgundy, Chardonnay, Sherry, and even a new Merlot. Winery tours and tastings last for around an hour, are completely free to take part in, and operate daily. The winery is also the home of the annual Grape Stomp every fall, where you can join in the wine-making fun and possibly even win a trophy. The winery also features a gift shop and a top-notch gourmet restaurant. The vineyards are located about an hour's drive northwest of Las Vegas, past Red Rock Canyon, in the town of Pahrump.
