Las Vegas, now a major metropolitan population center in the U.S., is quite diverse. The city has over a million and a half residents, with a demographic breakdown of about 75% Caucasian, 20% Latin American, and 5% mixed. English is the predominant language spoken, but you may hear Spanish, a number of Native American languages, several Chinese dialects, and even some Swahili while walking down the Strip. Interestingly, according to Wikipedia, Las Vegas is also home to the largest community of Hawaiians outside of Hawaii. Las Vegas, one of the fastest-growing cities in the U.S., is truly an international city!

Las Vegas is a diverse city with a variety of ethnic influences, from Native American to Latin American. There are a number of cultural events that take place each year in Las Vegas that celebrate the various cultures making up the local population. The locals have some of the world's best choices in terms of activities, dining, and entertainment.

What defines the city, however, is its tourism aspect. The city of Las Vegas thrives on tourism so much to the extent that there are typically as many tourists in the city as residents.
