Guided Tours in Las Vegas, Lake Mead and the Nevada desert

Things to do / Travel Guide

As with most other things in Las Vegas, the options for touring are staggering. From low-intensity bus tours to hair-raising helicopter tours, there truly is something for everyone.

Las Vegas City Tour - (4 hours) Gray Line shows you historic and modern Las Vegas on this City Tour. Everything from the gambling palaces to the homes of pioneers and the new residential areas - you'll see it all.

Las Vegas By Helicopter - (2 hours) The Ultimate Las Vegas Strip Tour is great for couples or large groups. The thrill begins with a glass of champagne before you board a luxurious jet helicopter. Once you rise above the “City of Lights,” you will see spectacular views of the Las Vegas Strip right from the comfort of your jet copter!

Hot Air Ballooning Tour - (3 ½ hours) The Great American Balloon Company offers flights over the Northeastern Mojave Desert in the nearby Pahrump Valley. On the tour you can see what the Las Vegas Valley was like 20 years ago and get views of the open desert that are no longer available in city of Las Vegas itself. All balloon flights are subject to local weather and wind conditions, but are piloted by an experienced, FAA-licensed pilot. The flight lasts approximately one hour, and a complimentary champagne toast is served upon landing!

Mojave Desert Hummer Tour - (4 hours) Just minutes from the hustle and bustle of the Las Vegas Strip, the landscape transforms to the colorful hills of Red Rock Canyon. Named for the bright red rocks contrasting the usually brown and unwelcoming Mojave desert, you will hear great tales of Southern Nevada history from your expert Hummer guide. Learn about the first explorers in this area as you drive past the original Spanish Trail and the historic town of Blue Diamond.

Hoover Dam and Lake Mead Cruise - (9 hours) Take a memorable cruise on Lake Mead on the Desert Paddle Steamer. This is the only way to experience the lake in such peacefulness. Enjoy boating on the largest man-made lake in the U.S.
The cruise includes a 2½ hour visit to the Hoover Dam to see the exhibits, exterior structure, and optional interior discovery tour.
