Things to do / Travel Guide
Below you'll find a list and description of some of the other fun things to do and see in and around Las Vegas that are sure to keep you busy.
Parlez-vous Francais? You can brush up on your French at the top of Paris Las Vegas' ½-scale recreation of the world-famous Eiffel Tower. Glass elevators allow for a spectacular view all the way up to the observation deck, which overlooks the Las Vegas Strip. Sunsets from the top are spectacular to behold. The tower is open daily from 9 a.m.-1 a.m.
The Venetian Hotel's gondola ride whisks you away to the famous canals of Venice, Italy. Take a slow, soft ride under the stars in your private gondola. If you're lucky, you'll get your gondolier to sing you a ballad or song, too. The gondola ride is open from 10:30 a.m.-10:30 p.m. daily.
The Desperado rollercoaster is one of the tallest and fastest-moving roller coasters in the world and features the largest drop in the United States. The coaster's top speed has been measured at between 80 to 90 miles per hour. Boarding and disembarking from the ride actually takes place inside Buffalo Bill's Resort & Casino, but the rest of the 6,000-foot-long track encircles the property. Buffalo Bill's is located just across the California/Nevada state line outside of Primm, Nevada, about 40 miles south of Las Vegas.
