Located in Kaui, Kokee State Park is 4345 acres of lush Hawaiian paradise and sister park to Waimea Canyon. Kokee boasts over 45 different hiking trails through native vegetation and has scenic cliffside views, and best of all, some take you right to the canyon itself. The natural history museum at an elevation of 4000 feet, has remarkable animal and plant displays, as well as a lodge next door which serves breakfast and lunch. Visitors are welcome to picnic amongst the Banana Poka, Lantana and Maile and enjoy camping, available for those who want to stay the night. With fantastic lookouts, lush vegetation and plenty of activities and special events, this park is a fabulous Hawaiian getaway!

15 miles north of Kekaha on Koke'e Road (Highway 550) at 3600 feet elevation; adjoins Waimea Canyon State Park. Commanding views of the lush, amphitheater-headed Kalalau Valley from 4000 feet elevation. Wildland picnicking, tent camping, trailer camping and lodging. Hiking in native rain forest and along rim of Waimea Canyon; additional trails in neighboring forest reserves. Excellent area for study of native plants, forest birds and insects. Seasonal plum picking and trout fishing. Pig hunting in public hunting area.
