Kauai offers many places to shop and has everything from modern shopping stores to quaint country stores. Make time to take a shopping excursion around the island in order to fully appreciate the offerings.
Just outside of Lihue, shoppers will discover a unique area not to be missed called Kilohana Plantation. Located in a restored mansion on the open and inviting grounds of a sugar plantation, several shops here offer original arts and crafts.
The Kapaa-Wailua area, north of Lihue, offers the biggest concentration of shopping options. Built into a three-mile stretch of Kuhio Highway, and located next to several hotels and condo complexes, shoppers will find jewelry, art, casual clothing, books, a kite shop, and a magic shop from which to purchase goods.
