Kauai is a family friendly destination. Here are a few places you can visit, where you can be sure that your kids will have a ball:
- Lydgate Park is a family-friendly park with showers, restrooms, changing rooms, drinking water, and an on-duty lifeguard. Located right next to a great beach, Lydgate Park also offers the famous “Kamalani Playground.” To get here, turn off of Highway 56 onto Leho Road between Lihue and Wailua (near the Holiday Inn), and follow the road right to the beach park.
- Kauai Lagoons is home to 800 acres of lagoons. Visitors can explore this natural wonder either by canoe or by riding in a 19th-century carriage drawn by Clydesdales. To enjoy a canoe trip or carriage ride, head to the Kauai Marriott in Lihue.
