Lihue Airport
The commercial airport in Kauai is Lihue Airport (LIH), located on the southeast coast of the island, in the town of Lihue. The airport is trafficked by domestic and overseas carriers, inter-island carriers, and commuter/air taxis, as well as air cargo carriers.
Cruise Port
Nawiliwili Harbor is located just outside of Lihue, the main town on Kauai. Entrance to the Nawiliwili Harbor is very narrow, so if there are high winds or large swells, cruise ships bring passengers to the dock by smaller tender craft. Cruises arrive all year round from the U.S. West Coast, and, occasionally, several Asian cruise lines dock here too.
