Everything from big game sport fishing, deep-sea sport fishing, fishing charters, and fishing for game fish, such as mahi-mahi, marlin, ahi, and ono, is available on Kauai.
Due to Kauai's remoteness and age relative to the other Hawaiian islands, along with the fact that it is surrounded by very deep waters on all sides, it is a preferred habitat for deep sea and big game sport fish. As such, the fishing on Kauai is considered by most people to be, by far, some of the best found in the Hawaiian Islands.
Before you go out on your fishing trip, be aware that you must first obtain a fishing license from the Division of Aquatic Resources.
