Things to do / Travel Guide
On Kauai, visitors can check out some of the island's enjoyable luaus, theaters, nightclubs, concerts, hotel shows, and lounges.
Many visitors to Kauai take sunset cruises, which are usually accompanied by entertaining shows or musical performances. For the more cultural-minded visitors, Hawaiian revues with traditional hula and fire dancers and luaus can be booked as well. There are also a great selection of bars and nightclubs with a variety of music offerings. Kauai offers plenty of memorable and quality entertainment and great places to listen to music or dance.
Here are a few select venues where you'd be sure to find performances:
Kauai Community College Performing Arts Center
Student musical performances take place at the Kauai Community College Performing Arts Center, as well as community events and special concerts. Monthly art exhibitions are showcased in the Center's lobby. Admission price varies by event.
Tahiti Nui Restaurant
Tahiti Nui Restaurant and bar, the first one on Kauai's north shore, offers live entertainment every afternoon and evening. Most of the live shows feature local Hawaiian-style entertainers. Tahiti Nui also offers a great luau on Wednesdays from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. For the show only, admission is only $20, while the luau costs extra.
The Lizard Lounge and Deli
The Lizard Lounge and Deli is found on the Coconut Coast and offers a casual atmosphere. Here you can take a break from the sun and have a tropical drink while playing pool or darts. You can also enjoy live music Wednesday through Saturday from 9:30 p.m. until 12:30 a.m.
