Things to do / Travel Guide
The Big Island offers exotic snorkeling opportunities throughout the year. Like most diving sites, most of the good and easily accessible snorkeling sites are located along the Leeward coast. You can reach some of the snorkeling sites quite easily, as parking lots are often located just a couple minutes away by foot. Coral, sea turtles, colorful fish, and rays are just a few of the many sights to see while snorkeling. If you don't have your own snorkeling gear, equipment can be rented in nearby towns.
The top snorkeling spots on the island are located in South Kona. They are listed below from north to south along with brief descriptions.
