Expert White Water Rafting Review

Venture down the whitewater of the Yellowstone River and experience the 25 miles of Class II-III rapids. These sections, Paradise Valley and Yankee Jim Canyon, pass through Yellowstone National Park, and are located in south-west Montana, in Gardener, on Hwy 2.

Practical Info: Rafting season is open approximately from May to September, with whitewater rafting trips ranging in length from a half day to a full day. The river is suitable for paddle rafts, and oar rafts. Portage may be required.

Useful Tips: Guides are optional, although permits may be required for private trips. Outfitters on the Yellowstone River offer trips suitable for families.
