Shoot the whitewater rapids of the Stillwater River and challenge the 17 miles of Class II-III rapids. This section is located in south-central Montana, west of Asarokee, on Hwy 420.
Practical Info: Rafting season is open approximately from May to August, with whitewater rafting trips that can be completed in a half day. The river is suitable for paddle rafts, oar rafts, and inflatable kayaks. Portage may be required.
Useful Tips: Guides are optional, although permits may be required for private trips. Outfitters on the Stillwater River offer trips suitable for families.
