Located near Jackson Hole, Amangani means "peaceful home," and that's definitely the feeling guests will get when they walk through the door. The 40-suite, three-story resort is set on the edge of a cliff at the southern end of the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem, where it's surrounded by mountains, meadows, sage flats, wildlife refuges, and two National Parks: Grand Teton and Yellowstone. Naturally, the natural surroundings are a big draw for guests, who can enjoy walks and hikes and swimming during the summer, while enjoying the mountain views. The Center also offers treatments such as massages, scrubs, and wraps, as well as providing exercise studios and plenty of cozy places to kick back with a book and enjoy a relaxing getaway.
The design and interior decoration is quite classy, from zinc-topped bars framed by sandstone columns to platform beds, fireplaces, day beds framed in redwood, and woven cowhide chairs in the 40 guest rooms. Guests can indulge in a wide variety of treatments, including aromatherapy massage, as well as the Swedish and Thai varieties, shiatsu and botanical polishes, salt gloss seaweed masks, and herbal wraps. Those seeking skin care treatments may choose from seven different treatments, while those looking for a bit of activity can get private and semi-private personal training, Pilates, yoga, and meditation walks. The health center has two exercise studios, steam rooms for men and women and a 65-seat dining room with a wood-burning fireplace and scenic views where guests can relax and enjoy a steak, chops, or a variety of seafood.
