Our Nature Nut Says:

If one word could sum up Yellowstone National Park, the first and oldest National Park in the world, it would have to be "variety." The park is packed with petrified trees, crystal clear lakes, incredible geysers and hot springs, the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone River, and hundreds of different plant and wildlife species (after all, the park is home to the largest collection of mammals in the lower 48 states). Old Faithful, probably the most well-known geyser in the world, erupts about every hour and a half, putting on a spectacular show for visitors.
Allot enough time to visit the remarkable Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone and the Mammoth Hot Springs. Also be sure to check out the Upper Geyser Basin (you do want to see Old Faithful, don't you?). The Upper and Lower Falls of the Yellowstone are beautiful must-see sites for anyone impressed by towering waterfalls. Yellowstone Lake is another near-requirement. Weeks would hardly be enough time to explore the vast wonderland that is Yellowstone National Park.
Activities in the park are nearly never-ending and range from wildlife viewing (there are thousands of large animals roaming the park such as bison, grizzly bears, deer, and elk), to fishing, back-country hiking, cross-country skiing, and camping.
