Our History Buff Says:

Wyoming's very own "City of Gold" has been restored to reflect its days of glory during the last big gold rush in the late 1800s. Visitors can view over 20 of the town's original structures, including a blacksmith shop, jail, a mine, saloon, butcher shop, stables, school house, hotels, and a number of cabins and stores. Thousands of artifacts native to the area are also available to view. In the summer, costumed interpreters can often be seen gold panning and blacksmithing. This living ghost town, situated at the southern end of the Wind River Range 35 miles south of Lander, Wyoming, gives visitors a true taste of the Old West.
