Yellowstone Tourist Information

This is a landscape truly blessed by mother nature. Erupting geysers and boiling mud pits, expansive valleys and towering snow-capped mountains, and even roaming bison and fierce grizzlies make Yellowstone a region unmatched in splendor. The region, spread across Wyoming, Montana and a small slice of Idaho, is where cowboys met Indians, where miners struck it rich, and where today thousands of American families spend their summers bunking up under the stars, against the flames of a campfire in some of the most celebrated scenery in the world. There is a good reason Yellowstone is one of the most popular family vacation destinations in the United States.

In addition to the region's most popular park and attraction, Yellowstone National Park and the famous Old Faithful geyser, the surrounding six national forests, three national wildlife refuges, old mining towns, dude ranches and ski resorts make the region a vacationer's dream. Wildlife watching, hiking, biking, boating, horseback riding, and sightseeing are popular activities in the region, in addition to the campfires and cookouts that complement the outdoor experience.
