At the Georgia Music Hall of Fame you'll find a building devoted totally to the preservation and the exhibition of every great tune that ever came out of Georgia!
The museum has a main exhibit hall called Tune Town, with winding streets housing smaller exhibits featuring instruments, personal and career items from all the major Georgia stars, music and documentary videos, performance costumes, and of course, the music. Check out the Gospel Chapel, the Gretsch Theater, and Backstage Alley, or just wander on through and take it all in! There's a Coca Cola Drugstore devoted to the sounds and styles of America's diners, so put another coin in that jukebox!
The Billy Watson Music Factory provides a superb interactive learning experience for kids with hands-on exhibits where they can compose their own music! It's great for adults, too! At the Zell Miller Center for Georgia Music Studies you can also research and explore books, periodicals, recordings and music videos of all the great musical stars that ever came out of Georgia. Or, check out the behind the scenes scoop on your favorite bands, with Backstage Alley's look at the stories behind Georgia's singers, songwriters, and local producers.
Top off your visit with some time at the Jazz & Swing Club, and sample some of Savannah's finest dancing music, or sit and relax to some Georgia jazz. It's all there, at the Georgia Music Hall of Fame!
