The greens have been compared to those at Augusta, and the good news is you can get in here. The course was recently remodeled by Tom Fazio who designed it to play fast and firm. The conditions are meant to mimic those found at famous Scottish courses, but you can tell your friends you went to Augusta. Sort of.

Tom Fazio's 1999 redesign transformed two of Sea Island's brilliant original nine-hole courses into an 18-hole masterpiece. Fazio's vision honors the integrity of the original Marshside course, and the Seaside design that was so admired by Bobby Jones. Yet, as Davis III puts it, Fazio turned "18 holes that didn't match into 18 matchless holes", creating a completely original, challenging and contemporary layout.
