Edge of Cedars cradles the remnants of Utah's native populations, in the form of an ancestral village filled with architecture of times past. When park-goers walk through the old village at 6,200 feet, it is easy to feel the spirit of those who once lived here. Their remarkable artwork reflects the great knowledge these ancients had about astronomy and the calendar, and their effect on the harvesting of plants. In addition, the Edge of Cedars museum holds the largest collection of Anasazi pottery on display in the Four Corners region as well as additional exhibits, including those of other Native tribes. Though camping is not available here, the park is open all year round, allowing plentiful opportunity to come honor the ancients!

Edge of the Cedars State Park is the site of a pre-Colombian Pueblo Indian ruin and a modern museum, which is the regional archaeological repository for southeast Utah. Remains of the Ancestral Pueblo Indian Village with its unique architectural structures is a testament to the Indian civilization that once flourished in southeastern Utah. Edge of the Cedars museum houses an excellent collection of Anasazi pottery and other exceptional ancient Indian artifacts. Additional exhibits display cultural materials and information about Navajo and Utah Indians. Edge of the Cedars State Park is located in Blanding. A picnic area is available, but there is no camping.
