The expansive Four Corners region contains just one zoo, in Window Rock, Arizona, and though it is small, it is rich with the history and maintenance culture of the Navajo. The Navajo Nation Zoo and Botanical Garden's setting is natural, and pains have been taken to recreate the world in which the Navajo lived. Cougars, bears, and wolves are among the featured animals.
