Outdoor Recreation in the the Four Corners of New Mexico, Utah, Arizona and Colorado
By definition, sports and recreation in the Four Corners region will be outdoors. Serious hikers will find the opportunity to disappear into the backcountry following trails, canyons and rivers for days without encountering other humans. More casual outdoor types can park the car and head off on well marked, short trails to experience the views, outdoor recreation and natural attractions that this region is famous for.
Mountain Biking in the Four Corners
Although not as popular as Moab and Durango, there are mountain biking tracks throughout the region, and road bikers will find traffic-free scenic roads. Both of these adventurous outdoor sports require careful planning and a visit in the spring or fall. The summer is just too hot.
