Our Museum Expert Says:

Sip tea with the Mad Hatter or play croquet with the Queen of Hearts! Take the wheel of a real SEPTA Bus, sail a boat on a river, or climb aboard the John Wanamaker "Rocket Express".

At the Please Touch Museum in Philadelphia, children can learn about transportation and have the opportunity to drive, fly, and navigate, at the 'Move It!' exhibit. 'The Supermarket' exhibit is fully stocked and comes complete with checkouts, shopping carts, a bakery counter and a stockroom. 'Barnyard Babies' is a farm-themed exhibit which introduces the principles of resource management, while 'Kid's Creations' is a gallery displaying works of art by children. The permanent 2,300-foot 'Alice's Adventures in Wonderland' exhibit retells the classic children's story while developing problem-solving, literacy and language skills, and there's a lake full of toy boats which keeps children busy for hours.

The Please Touch Museum is located within walking distance of several family-friendly restaurants, or you can choose to eat in Recycled City, where beverages and snacks are available for purchase.

Located in the museum district, a visit to the Please Touch Museum can easily be combined with a day at the nearby Franklin Institute or Academy of Natural Sciences. The Museum is located at 210 N. 21st Street (at the corner of 21st and Race Streets).
