Come visit a vital spot in the American Revolution at the Valley Forge National Historical Park near Valley Forge, Pennsylvania, the site where the Continental Army spent the winter of 1777-1778. Today, the Valley Forge National Historical Park offers visitors the opportunity to explore a wide array of historical buildings, museums and memorials.

From December 1777 to June 1778, the Continental Army camped in Valley Forge. The army experienced both great suffering and great rejuvenation during their time there. In 1893, Valley Forge became Pennsylvania's first state park, and was designated the Valley Forge National Historical Park in 1976.

Today, the Valley Forge National Historical Park is home to tours, exhibits and outdoor activities. Tours include ranger-guided walking tours, ranger-guided biking tours, 90-minute trolley tours, 18 miles of trail, including six miles of paved trail for a self-guided tour, and a ten-mile, self-guided automobile tour. The museum at the Valley Forge National Historical Park contains a fascinating array of American Revolution-era artifacts. There are 19.5 miles of designated hiking trails covering the key historic sites at the Valley Forge National Historical Park. After their experience at the park, visitors can go for a bite to eat in modern-day Valley Forge, where you can find something to suit every palette.
