Welcome to the relaxing Kitty Hawk Beach, located on the Outer Banks of North Carolina! Here you'll find locals and vacationers alike taking advantage of the beautiful weather, the serene atmosphere, and the fun beach!
There's a ton to due at Kitty Hawk beach including swimming, surfing, sunbathing, and more! There's also the nearby Kitty Hawk Woods, a maritime forest filled with wildlife and plant life that will awe the nature lovers among us. Go for beautiful hikes through marshes and swamps and then clean off in the cool beach water. A great family outing appropriate for kids and adults of all ages! Some of the animals you may see along the way include raccoons, deer, fox, otters, muskrats and more. You'll also find a large number of birds – so bring those binoculars to get up close and personal with the birds and animals around you!
Surfing is allowed, but surfers must use a surfing leash the whole time. Also, while swimming is allowed, if the "No Swimming" flags are up, violators can be fined $250,000. There are lifeguards on duty between Memorial Day and Labor Day. Parking is available throughout the area. While you're in the area, make sure you check out the USS Kitty Hawk, and the Wright Brothers National Memorial. Have fun exploring this amazing vacation spot!
