Nestled in the mountains above the beautiful, buzzing college town of Boulder, CO, Eldora lays claim to being the closest resort to the Denver area. At 21 miles away from downtown Boulder and a fast 40 minute drive from Denver, the four mountains of El Dora are certainly a quick pick for the locals. But for out-of-towners, Boulder is an experience on its own. With spectacular scenery, crisp air, a liberal atmosphere and a health store around every corner, Boulder is a college student's/health nut's/outdoor sports enthusiast's dream. Bohemian, hip and artsy, the city of almost 100,000 also has plenty of lodging, dinning and shopping options – ranging from well-known chains to family owned establishments. Buses leave Boulder four times daily to Eldora, making it even easier to enjoy the city and the slopes.

Eldora Mountain Resort is actually four mountains. Experts and advanced skiers will head to the back to Corona Bowl's black and double black-diamond terrain. The chutes and glades on this mountain are for experts only and trails like West Ridge are extremely challenging. Challenge Mountain and Indian Peaks have many wide-open cruisers, including novice trail Hornblower. Little Hawk Mountain, as the name suggests, is the beginner and family skiing and riding area. Tricksters can play in Eldora's four terrain parks, with plenty of rails, rollers, table jumps, boxes and a 600-foot superpipe. The parks are designed for all skill levels and are located on Sundance trail, Corkscrew trail, and Quickway trail. The area has two quad lifts, four surface lifts and two triple and four double chairlifts
