Westminster's City Park Recreation Center's indoor climbing wall is unusual in that the wall is made of real rock. The wall is 26 feet high designed by expert climbers with routes, chimneys, overhangs and holds simulating outdoor rock climbing in the nearby Rockies. The routes are fun and challenging to beginners as well as experts. As a beginner, it's a great place to learn the essential skills of grips, balance and reading the route before heading outdoors. Westminster Rec Center is also a comfortable and friendly environment to observe the experts in action and observe their technique and smooth movement

The City Park Recreation Center offers both adult (over 16) and youth (8 years and over) courses in rock climbing and bouldering for beginners as well as more advanced climbers.

Drop-In admission is approximately $5 for non-resident adults and allows access to all of the City Park Recreation Center facilities, including swimming pool, hot tubs, weight room. Please note that drop-in climbing hours are very limited, although small groups can reserve time in advance for an additional fee, which includes instruction.
