Often called a junior Rocky Mountain National Park, this incredible State Park covers over 5,000 acres and is filled with scenic vistas. One of the largest parks in the state, it extends over the west of Pike's Peak and is home to exotically named birds and animals such as yellow-bellied sapsuckers, hairy woodpeckers, and Clark's nutcrackers. Visitors can enjoy Mueller's intense beauty by foot, bicycle or horseback, or if stopping by during the winter, by sled, ski, or horseshoe! Mueller has great accommodations for lodging including fully-stocked log cabins or campsites with panoramic views of the mountains. Open year round, this beauty of a State Park is definitely one of Colorado's gems.

Mueller State Park's 50 miles of trails provide a 5,000-acre playground for the hiker, mountain biker, wildlife watcher and winter sports enthusiast. A popular wildlife watching area, Mueller is home to elk, black bear, hawks. mule deer. Park visitors traverse the park's numerous trails on foot, snowshoes, cross-country skis , horseback and mountain bike, depending on the season. Mueller also has two options to stay overnight. There are 132 campsites in the park; 18 of these are open for winter camping. The park also has three cabins for rent year-round.
