The Wildlife Experience is an interactive museum that connects visitors with wildlife and habitats in a fun and educational environment! You can make your own wildlife masterpieces and learn about animals through trivia, video games, artwork, movies, and natural history exhibits.
The Vanishing Africa Gallery focuses on the grasslands of Africa, the wildlife that can be found there, and the Maasai culture. The Discovery Den offers children between the ages of 6-12 hands-on exhibits and enhances their knowledge of animals and the natural world. The Marble Mountain exhibit describes erosion and how it can be reduced to protect wild lands. H2Ohhhh!!!! is an exhibit about the water cycle and water conservation in Colorado. In Max Brown's Theater, kids are taken on a wild adventure in remote parts of the planet. You'll also find arts & crafts areas where children can make their own animal, as well as science areas where they can view minute worlds through microscopes.
Cubs Corner is a place for children five and under. This gallery introduces children to concepts and ideas about the natural world, and they can dress up as various animals or learn how beavers build their dams in "Build like a Beaver". The gallery also includes a reading area and an arts and crafts area where children can create their own artwork. The Wildlife Experience houses temporary exhibits such as "Sand Island: Time Etched in Stone", and "Wild and Wooly: Ice Age Mammals".
The Toucan Café offers wraps, salads, soups and beverages, and is a great place to enjoy a snack or lunch.
The Wildlife Experience is located about 10 miles south of downtown Denver and one mile east of I-25, at the intersection of Lincoln Avenue and Peoria Street.
