Expert White Water Rafting Review

Venture down the whitewater of the Roaring Fork River and experience the 26 miles of Class III-IV (upper); II-III (lower) rapids. These sections, Upper and Lower, are located in north-central Colorado, northwest of Aspen, on Hwy 82.

Practical Info: Rafting season is open approximately from May to July, with whitewater rafting trips ranging in length from a half day to a full day. Popular trips include the 12 mile Upper section, and the 14 mile Lower section. The river is suitable for paddle rafts, and oar rafts. Portage may be required.

Useful Tips: Guides are optional, although permits may be required for private trips.
