Venture down the whitewater of the Eagle River. Experience the 19 miles of Class III-IV+ (upper); II-III+ (lower) rapids. The upper Eagle run provides exciting whitewater for those looking for adventure while the lower Eagle is more suited for family trips. These sections, Upper and Lower, are located in north-central Colorado, east Eagle, 2 miles south of I-70.
Practical Info: Rafting season is open approximately from May to July, with whitewater rafting trips ranging in length from a half day to a full day. Popular trips include the 7 mile Upper section, and the 12 mile Lower section. The river is suitable for paddle rafts, and oar rafts.
Useful Tips: Guides are optional, although permits may be required for private trips. Outfitters on the Eagle River offer trips suitable for families.
