No one gets to Telluride on accident. This exclusive, extremely remote European-style resort is located deep in the mountains of Southwestern Colorado. Telluride is the epitome of small-town, historic charm. Its remote location insures visitors will have an intimate experience, both on the slopes and off. In fact, the lifts and slopes remain practically free from crowds throughout the season, avoiding the lines, headaches and hassle of your typical ski vacation. The quaint mountain town is nestled in a canyon surrounded by towering aspens at 9,450 feet. The extraordinary scenery and laid-back atmosphere provide a coziness and security unavailable at other Colorado resorts.
Challenging, steep moguls, tree-and-glade skiing and groomed pitches for advanced and intermediate skiers can be found on the mountain's south face. The Air Garden Expert Terrain Park is designed for serious freestyle riders and includes a 15-ft vertical box, urban rails, c-boxes, down/flat/down box, and up/flat rail. The jump line results in three expert jumps leading into an 18-ft quarter pipe. The new, intermediate level Butterfly Park consists of a flat/down box, 15-ft flat box, an A-frame rail, 15-ft jump and a 25-ft jump. The Meadows' gentle slopes are entirely dedicated to beginning skiers, as is Ute Terrain Park, which serves as a training area and includes four small boxes and rails, rollers, two jumps and a hip.
