Our Tourist Attractions Expert Says:

At Bud's Go-Karts you will find go-carts that really move fast! Kids and adults alike will enjoy this popular attraction in the lower area of Cape Cod in Massachusetts. A ride on Bud's Go-Karts costs $5 for a 10 minute ride, but visitors guarantee that it is well worth the price, as well as the long waiting lines of enthusiastic go cart riders! The ride is open until 11pm in the summer, making it a popular nighttime spot. Children must be at least 8 years old and 54 inches tall to ride.

The town of Harwich, once known as Setucket, is a well known destination for Cape Cod vacationers, and is actually the cranberry capital of the United States. Cranberry bogs can still be seen all over Harwich, and the cranberry is celebrated each year with the Cranberry Festival during the week after Labor Day. Throughout the town you will find many shops, restaurants, and accommodations, as well as occasional live entertainment, including town band concerts which are held on Tuesday evenings in Brooks Park. To learn more about the town of Harwich, you can visit The Brooks Academy Museum, which contains a large collection of photographs and exhibits on artist Charles Cahoon, as well as information on cranberry growing and local family histories.

In addition to Bud's Go-Karts, there are a few other exciting attractions for family fun in Harwich. Kids who are interested in baseball may like Grand Slam Entertainment, where they will enjoy the cages, pitching machines and whiffleball. Harwich has 22 beaches to explore, and if you are interested in sailing, rent a boat at Hobie Cats and sail around the clear waters of Nantucket Sound Beach. If you are in Harwich in late August, you can watch the regatta named "Sails Around Cape Cod" as it covers the entire length of the Cape Cod Canal. During the day visitors can enjoy biking along the many bike trails which lead to Chatham, where you will find homemade ice cream on the way. For golfing, the Cranberry Valley Golf Course is a popular destination. In the evening you can catch a baseball game played by The Harwich Mariners at Whitehouse Field.

Harwich's most recommended restaurants include L'Alouette, Sea Grille, The Port, and Luscious Louie's. And if you like Mexican food, you will enjoy Ay! Caramba Café. For breakfast, try Dino's, a typical diner famous for its pancakes.

If you plan on spending the night in Harwich, we recommend the family operated A Beach Breeze Inn, Beach House Inn, or Commodore Inn, although there are many more Cape Cod accommodations to choose from.

Bud's Go-Karts is located on Sisson Road in Harwich Port, Massachusetts, directly off Route 28.
