What do the names Kidd, Blackbeard, and Bellamy have in common? They are all names of real pirates you can learn about at the New England Pirate Museum.
The New England Pirate Museum offers an educational and historically accurate 20 to 30-minute walking tour for all ages, led by qualified and entertaining guides who encourage participation and questions. On the tour you'll meet some 60 buccaneers from the days of yore and view authentic pirate artifacts as you stroll through a colonial seaport, board a pirate ship and explore an eighty foot cave, all within the walls of the museum. Please keep in mind that some parts of the tour may be scary for children aged 3 and under. During Halloween, The New England Pirate Museum makes an original Halloween adventure for families (the museum is open select nights during "Haunted Happenings").
Save $5.00 per person when you go to the New England Pirate Museum by buying the combination ticket available with the Witch Dungeon Museum, Witch History Museum and the New England Pirate Museum.
The museum, located in Salem, is 30 minutes North of Boston by car. Take Route 128 North, Exit 25A and follow Route 114 East. In Salem, follow signs to Waterfront, and the New England Pirate Museum.
