Take your family somewhere other than Cape Cod this year and enjoy a less crowded, quieter, and just as beautiful beach at Barnstable's Sandy Neck Beach!
Sandy Neck Beach is a conservation and recreation area filled with great trails, wildlife, plant life, high sand dunes (facing Cape Cod Bay), and of course, a wide, sandy beach. At high tide the sand can get a bit rocky, but if you visit Sandy Neck Beach during low tide, you'll find plenty of space to lay out towels, build sandcastles, and dig your toes through the cool sand. The beach is great for rock collecting, too! Other activities you may enjoy at this beach include swimming, hiking along a salt marsh, fishing, and camping, There are lifeguards, restrooms, showers, and a snackbar for your convenience. You can even get a permit and bring a four wheel drive vehicle out onto the beach – a great option for the more adventure driven!
Sandy Neck Beach is located between Sandwich and Barnstable off of Sandy Neck Road. There are nice campgrounds in the area as well as nicer hotels in the nearby Cape Cod area.
Have fun relaxing at Sandy Neck Beach – the peaceful and quiet beach near the Cape!
