Our Beach Bum Says:

Whether you're looking for great waves, a long stretch of beach (the longest in Rhode Island, in fact!), or a beach town with New England charm, you'll be glad you chose Westerly, Rhode Island's Misquamicut State Beach!

Misquamicut State Beach, famed for its cleanliness, convenience, and charm, is a great vacation refuge for the whole family. At this classic New England beach, you'll find everything you need to have a great time, including clean sand, extensive water activities (boogie boarding, jet skiing, swimming), picnic tables for lunch, concession stands, water slides, and more! Lifeguards are on duty at this state beach. Safety note: Sometimes the sun hides behind a cloud and it appears to be misty or foggy, but the sun is still very strong and proper caution against burns should be taken! The beach is open from 9:00am to 6:00pm, seven days a week from Memorial Day to Labor Day. From the beginning of May until Memorial Day, the beach is only open on weekends. Parking costs between $5-$10, depending on resident status.

Have a great time sinking your toes into some of Rhode Island's bests sands!
