Welcome to a beach that lives up to its name – at Mansion Beach on Block Island, you'll have no trouble feeling like you're in an elite and grand environment, not unlike the beautiful mansion that once was situated on the Mansion Beach hillside.

Mansion Beach was named for the Block Island's most beautiful home that sat on the top of a hill in what is now the Mansion Beach area. A fire destroyed the mansion, but its memory lives on by being the namesake for this stunning portion of Block Island.

Mansion Beach is a family-friendly beach. You'll find calm surf, smooth sand, and an overall calm and peaceful (not to mention beautiful!) environment. The water is great for boogie boarding and body surfing and kids will love running through the cool, clear water. You'll also see tons of sailboats out on the water, especially during Block Island's Race Week, a week-long sailboat racing competition. Also on the island you can experience a wonderful Fourth of July parade and extravaganza. And since Mansion Beach is only a short distance from the center of town at Block Island, trips in and out are extremely easy – and make a very pleasant bike ride!
