Sports Venues and Events in Boston, Massachusetts - Red Sox, Patriots, Celtics, Bruins

Things to do / Travel Guide

Bostonians love their sports, and their sports teams are easy to love because they usually win. The New England Patriots, as they have been known since their move to Foxborough's Gillette Stadium in 1971, have already managed to win the NFL's Super Bowl three times this decade. In 2004, Fenway Park's Green Monster scared away all other competitors as Major League Baseball's Boston Red Sox managed to earn their first World Series title in 86 years. The TD Banknorth Garden, formerly known as the FleetCenter or Boston Garden, is home to both the NBA's 16-time champion Boston Celtics and the NHL's Boston Bruins. The famous Boston Marathon is also held in the region every year; a 26-mile run that begins in Hopkinton, Massachusetts and finishes in Copley Square in Back Bay.

The International Tennis Hall of Fame was founded in 1954 and is located at the Newport Casino in Newport, Rhode Island. The largest museum of its kind, tennis memorabilia from the time of the sport's origin until the present day is on display throughout the shrine.

Boston sports fans and visiting fans of Boston teams may order tickets by phone at 1-800-SOLD-OUT or online at www.ticketcity.com.
