See over 3000 stage costumes, original song manuscripts and musical instruments and discover the stories behind the music! Have fun with the whole family while discovering the history of country music and its connection to American culture!
The new building that houses the Country Music Hall of Fame is laced with musical images such as windows that look like black piano keys, a diamond-shaped radio mast, and round discs like the different size records and CDs—and that's just the exterior. Visitors will see many of the personal items of legends on display including Elvis' solid gold Cadillac and approximately 10,000 clips related to the history of country and American folk music.
The museum's Bob Pinson Recorded Sound Collection embraces 200,000 recorded cylinders and discs including 98% of all pre-World War II country recordings ever made. Don't miss the "Sing Me Back Home" exhibit, a journey through the life of country music, and the Hall of Fame Rotunda which recognizes members in a round room to ensure that every member has a place of equal importance. Families can enjoy interactive programs and learning experiences with artists, musicians, and music educators and there are also free workshops held one Saturday a month.
For those looking to grab a bite to eat, the SoBro Grill and SoBro2Go offer a variety of Southern cuisine mealtime options. Admission to the Museum includes a visit to the historical RCA Studio B and the Music Row walking tour, so be sure to allow at least two hours for exhibits and the tour.
To get to the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum from I-40 West, exit 209B Demonbreun St. Turn right on Demonbreun St. Hall located on the right between 5th and 4th Ave on Demonbreun.
