Experience the whitewater of the Main Section of the Salmon River and shoot the 80 miles of Class III-IV rapids. This section is located in north-central Idaho, south-west of Hamilton, 30 miles west of Hwy 95.
Practical Info: Rafting season is open approximately from June to October, with whitewater rafting trips ranging in length from 4 days to 5 days. The river is suitable for paddle rafts, oar rafts, inflatable kayaks, and dories. Portage may be required.
Useful Tips: Guides are optional, although permits may be required for private trips, and whitewater experience is recommended.
Expect to See: Deer, elk, and bears in an environment of canyons, and mountains.
