Venture down the whitewater of the Main section of the Payette River. Experience the 9 miles of Class I-III rapids. The mild whitewaters are a favorite for large groups. This section is located in southwest Idaho, north of Boise, 37 miles from I-84.
Practical Info: Rafting season is open approximately from May to September, with whitewater rafting trips ranging in length from a half day to a full day. The river is suitable for paddle rafts, and oar rafts. Portage may be required.
Useful Tips: Guides are optional, although permits may be required for private trips. Outfitters on the Main section of the Payette River offer trips suitable for families.
