Discovery Cove came about as a result of SeaWorld's 35 years of experience with marine animals. SeaWorld currently cares for the largest zoological population of marine animals in the world. And, after witnessing the growing love affair between SeaWorld guests and dolphins, Discovery Cove was created to provide a whole new generation of guests the opportunity to interact more closely with these beloved marine mammals.
