Our History Buff Says:

The Orange County Regional History Center in Downtown Orlando is a three floor history museum serving the greater Orlando area, as well as Orange County. The museum is housed inside the historic old county courthouse built in 1927. The majority of the exhibits showcased in the museum focus on Orlando B.D. (Before Disney). Many artifacts from that era are on display, including household items, toys, advertising and political material, equipment related to the early years of the citrus industry and early tourist memorabilia.

The building itself is a fine example of Beaux Arts Architecture. Modeled after a classical Greek temple, and designed by Murray S. King, an early settler of Orlando, it is similar to the New York Public Library Building.
