There are over a half dozen themed gardens, at the Florida Botanical Gardens in Largo featuring a mix of native and exotic plant life. A specially designed children's trail features butterflies, trees, tropical fruit and wildlife.
Wildlife viewing is popular as well in the wetlands and forests of the Florida Botanical Gardens. With some patience and luck you may see alligators, raccoons, coyotes, turtles, armadillos, frogs, ducks, eagles, owls and even snakes.
