Hot Air Ballooning in Orlando and Tampa, Florida
Central Florida has thrills to offer you in the form of hot air ballooning. Although pricey, from your gondola in the sky, you will certainly get a bird's eye view of much of the region. Hot air ballooning is available in both the Orlando and Tampa Bay areas.
Parasailing in Orlando and Tampa, Florida
You can combine a water adventure with flight by trying parasailing, where you will be pulled up into the air behind a speedboat. You can even ride in tandem, with another person at the same time. As the ride itself is not too long, parasailing is a moderately-priced activity, available in both the Orlando and Tampa Bay areas.
Skydiving near Orlando, Florida
One of Central Florida's ultimate, but expensive, adventures is skydiving. You can go ahead and start skydiving right after a quick orientation by doing what's called a tandem dive, where you get attached to an experienced instructor and simultaneously jump, freefall, and land together. How appropriate that the skydiving hub in Central Florida is in the Cape Canaveral area, a.k.a., the Space Coast.
Alligator Hunting near Orlando, Florida
While not for everyone, alligator hunting is a truly unique Central Florida adventure you can partake in. From September 1st-October 8th escorted alligator hunting trips are available. The rules are simple: no guns allowed (you have to harpoon them) and you must hunt them at night. This should beat any of your friend's fishing stories!
